The Department of Health’s Information Governance Toolkit (IGT) self-assessment enables NHS, partner and third-party organisations to demonstrate they can securely handle and process personal information relating to patients, service users and employees, and corporate information such as financial and accounting records.
The satisfactory completion of an IGT self-assessment is evidence that Funasset's procedures and policies comply with the Department of Health’s management, information security, confidentiality and data protection standards.
“The IGT self-assessment together with our ISO 27001 certification helps to assure our customers have peace of mind when they use our products and services,” states Mark Dowson, Managing Director of Funasset. “Our commitment to security, confidentiality and data protection has allowed one of our biggest customers, UK Mail, to actively seek new business within the NHS for the imail system we developed and continue to maintain for them.”
