Unable to Use Remote Resources When Windows is Logged Off When Windows is configured to use remote resources like mapped drives and networked printers, Windows stores this information in the user profile of the user who configured them. By default, the Service does not have a user profile associated with it. This means, remote resources will not be accessible by the Service when Windows is logged off. To overcome this issue, perform the following actions: 1. Log on to Windows using a user account with local Administrator privileges. 2. If not already done, add and configure the mapped drives and networked printers required by the Service. 3. Change the Service’s Log On properties to “This Account” and specify the user profile credentials of the current user. MORE: For details about how to configure the Service’s Log On properties, refer to your Windows documentation or help.
