If you are, Funasset's new TaskEditor facility that is integrated within QControl will help to simplify the creation and maintenance of Task Configuration Files!
Before the introduction of TaskEditor, it was necessary for users of Funasset TN Interface and SpoolQ systems to reference the Technical Reference Manual and manually create and maintain Task Configuration Files using a standard text editor. Although this method was perfectly adequate for configuring a system, it was often difficult to determine what Configuration Parameters and values could be used with a particular Module. Furthermore, because there was no means of validating the Configuration Parameters and associated values, Task Configuration Files could be generated that contained inappropriate and/or irrelevant information.
TaskEditor provides a WYSIWYG method of adding, modifying and deleting Configuration Parameters within a Task Configuration File.
TaskEditor has the following functionality:
- Create a new Task Configuration File.
- Open and modify an existing Task Configuration File.
- Validate the information contained within a Task Configuration File.
- Allow the use of Configuration Parameters and values only associated with the Modules in use.
- Colour code Input, Output and Common Module Configuration Parameters, remarks and validation errors for easy visual reference.
- Provide on-screen descriptions of Configuration Parameters and Modules.
- Add, amend and delete remarks.
- Automatically append a Task Configuration File with the Task filename and RUN command.
TaskEditor has been released as a BETA 1 version to enable users of Funasset TN Interface and SpoolQ systems to experience and provide feedback on the application before its official release. Although TaskEditor has been tested, Funasset cannot guarantee that it is error free. However, because TaskEditor only creates and modifies text based
Task Configuration Files, no damage to your TN Interface or SpoolQ system will occur.
We hope that you find TaskEditor intuitive and useful.
