Configuration file changes/additions not actioned
Problem
Changes/additions made to the SilentPrint configuration file (SilentPrint.ini) are not actioned when SilentPrint is used.
Solution
SilentPrint.ini is initially located in the folder where SilentPrint is installed. However, when SilentPrint is first launched by a particular Windows user, SilentPrint.ini is copied to the Application Data\SilentPrint folder within the user’s Documents and Settings folder. Following this, SilentPrint continues to use this file for that particular user so this will be the one where changes/additions will need to be made.
Another reason for changes/additions to the SilentPrint.ini file not being actioned is that the associated configuration parameter has not been added to the correct section of the file. Refer to the SilentPrint User Guide for the correct positioning of configuration parameters.
NOTE: In order to view the Application Data folder and the SilentPrint sub-folder it may be necessary for you to select the “Show hidden files and folders” option within Windows Explorer.
